DMGC Hosts community garden tours: 10am – 2pm Saturday, May 9th, 2026

This Spring, Del Mar Garden Club will offer Community Garden Tours to celebrate the unique community gardens within Del Mar, CA. During the tour, DMGC member docents will be stationed at the four community gardens to share the history of the gardens, explain the unique specimens, and answer questions.

The activities will begin at Del Mar City Hall at 10am. There you can get a map, check out the onsite Pollinator Garden (funded by the Del Mar Foundation) and begin your tour. Dr. Michael Simpson will be at the Del Mar Library telling you all about the unusual plants that thrive there. Close by, you will hear stories about the Del Mar Community Building’s landscaping.  At the Del Mar Post Office people, a Master Gardener and others will answer all your questions about plant maintenance and plant identification. Finally, walk or drive up to the Crest Rim Park and view the gorgeous native plants.

Please note: Parking is limited near Crest Rim Park, and there are no sidewalks.
